I have been in the K-12 nutrition industry for about 8 years. It happened by chance, as I had no prior experience in the industry. There was so much to learn and I feel like I am still learning everyday.
I love this industry so much because of the passion the directors/employees have for serving kids. The Food Service department is one of the hardest working departments in the district and the least acknowledged. I love what I do because I want to help make their every day job just a bit easier—if we can take a little off of their plate, it is so worth it!
